Riverfront-Lakewood East Park Birding

Join Detroit birder Kyle Schanta at one of his new favorite places to find exciting birds. We might find birds on the river such as Wood Ducks, Common Mergansers, and even a Common Loon. Other fun possibilites include Carolina Wrens, Hairy Woodpeckers, Bald Eagles, Ring-necked Pheasants, Belted Kingfishers, and Eastern Screech Owls. Since we are getting up early the birds should be extra active!

Currently we are working with Detroit Parks and Rec to install a Detroit Bird City meadow at this park. This mean even more habitat for the birds!

We will have binoculars for attendees to borrow.

Bathroom facilities are not available.
