River Solitude: Little East Fork Trail

Escape into the quiet, shaded corridors of the Pigeon River’s headwaters. Join Steve and Howard at 8:00 AM for a 5-mile out-and-back journey starting from the historic camp property and winding deep into the wilderness. This beginner-friendly trek features a gradual 1,000-foot elevation gain as it plays follow-the-leader with a stunningly clear, boulder-strewn river. While there are a few rocky patches to navigate underfoot, the grade is gentle, and the scenery is spectacular. We will enjoy a peaceful, rolling walk along the water until we hit the main river crossing, where we will stop to soak in the solitude before turning back.
