🦋 Community Butterfly Puppet Build – Haywood Pride on Main
Join Haywood Pride on Main and SeekHealing Waynesville for two evenings of community puppet making in the week leading up to Pride on Main! We’re creating approximately 50 butterfly puppets to carry through the streets of downtown Waynesville during the Pride parade on June 27 - and everyone who helps build them is invited to carry one!
Build nights:
Tuesday, June 23 | 7 – 9 PM
Wednesday, June 24 | 6 – 8 PM (may run a little late – come when you can!)
Root & Rise Coworking, Waynesville NC
All materials are provided. If you have ribbon, scraps of rainbow fabric, or any colorful bits and bobs you’d like to contribute to the cause, feel free to bring them along!
A huge, heartfelt thank you to Street Creature Puppets- and especially to Jen- for creating these gorgeous butterfly cutouts and teaching us how to bring them to life. We are so grateful.
Come make art. Come be in community. Come carry something joyful down Main Street with us!
