March 16-May 31This year, we’re reconnecting to our “River Roots” to explore how people have depended on the river for more than a thousand years. By tracing the river’s history, you’ll learn how local communities have used, shaped, and changed the river and its watershed—and how those actions still affect it today.
With your field notebook in hand, learn all about the river, explore how people have navigated the river, how its winding path and varied landscape have shaped human use, and how wildlife have adapted to the changes brought by human activity.
