RIVER OF SNAKES "In Summerland" Instore Launch!
SUN 1 NOV
2PM - FREE - ALL AGES!
"In Summerland" is the third album by Australian noise/rock stalwarts River of Snakes. Recorded largely live over just two afternoons, it captures the band's instinctive energy with an immediacy that refuses to trade feel for perfection. Stripped back to its essentials, the songs are built on sparse arrangements, hypnotic repetition, and a deliberately corrosive edge. Driven by primal drums, relentless bass, walls of fuzz, ringing feedback and gloriously raw vocals, the result is an album that feels instinctive, unforced and refreshingly unpolished.
There's an honesty running through In “Summerland" that never feels forced. Drawing inspiration from literature and cinema, the lyrics favour evocative imagery over literal storytelling, giving the album a distinctly cinematic atmosphere. Dark, lean and unapologetically unpolished, it's a record that embraces simplicity, leaves its rough edges intact, and lingers long after the final note fades
After their Japanese tour the band are primed and keen to play a special FREE instore at Desert Highways in front of an all ages crowd!!
