About the River Cruise:

The cruise will be approximately 60 minutes aboard the R.V. Goodwin Navigator with Captain Bill Keyt. It will head north to the Bulkeley Bridge before turning around to make a loop through Wethersfield Cove. Along this route, we will pass an eagle's nest, the mouth of the Park River, the former trash-to-energy plant, and numerous views of the Hartford downtown skyline. Historic Wethersfield Cove is very scenic; after exiting the cove, we will likely take a short run further south to an active osprey nest, which is easily viewable on an old dock, before returning to Goodwin. It should be a pleasant cruise with various points of interest and great scenery along the river and its banks!

Additional boat details:

  • There will be a restroom on board,
  • Guests are welcome to bring their own cooler + drinks
  • Binoculars are encouraged - wildlife sightings will be a part of the journey
  • Cameras are also encouraged
  • There is a very long ADA ramp leading to the boat, so those utilizing it should plan accordingly
