Rit Xu Group Bio:
The Rit Xu Group (RXG) is a renowned contemporary jazz ensemble from Singapore, acclaimed for their masterful original compositions and thrilling re-arrangements of classic hits. Led by the illustrious award-winning flautist, they draw deep artistic inspiration from prominent groups such as Kneebody, Chris Potter Underground, and the Brian Blade Fellowship.
Since 2019, RXG has been a distinguished representative of Singapore at prominent international music festivals, including the Vientiane International Jazz Festival, Singapore International Festival of Arts, Taiwan International Flute Festival, and the Papandayan Jazz Festival in Indonesia. Their electrifying and deeply emotive performances have garnered critical acclaim from discerning audiences and jazz aficionados worldwide.
In 2019, the group independently released their debut Extended Play (EP), "THIS TOO SHALL PASS,” highlighting their exceptional musical prowess. This was followed by the release of their full-length album, "SCENES AND STORIES," in 2021, solidifying their reputation as an innovative and influential force in Asia’s contemporary jazz scene.
