Many point to nuclear energy as a solution, but behind the nuclear hype are unresolved issues of public health, safety, costs, and community impacts.Join MEIC, Honor the Earth, Billings Climate Coalition, and Northern Plains Resource Council on Feb. 23 in Billings for a panel discussion on the risks and realities of nuclear energy.
Panelist will unpack the growing push for new experimental nuclear technologies, recent federal deregulation, and solutions to the climate crisis that are available today. We’ll also discuss the social, environmental, and justice impacts tied to nuclear development that too often get left out of the conversation.
