Gallery Curator Sarah Coleman and local gallery owner Brian Chambers have joined forces to present Ripple Effect: Art + Music + Psychedelia, an immersive exhibition exploring the visual and cultural legacy of the psychedelic era. Featuring paintings, drawings, and photographs both historic and contemporary, the show recreates the moment when psychedelic experience began reshaping music, art, and global culture. Iconic photographs of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell hang alongside original Grateful Dead album artwork and rare vintage concert posters, interwoven with new work from artists carrying that tradition forward into the present.
At the heart of the exhibition is The Chambers Project, widely regarded as one of the leading forces in contemporary psychedelic art. Founded by Brian Chambers, the gallery has built longstanding relationships with artists including Ralph Steadman, Roger Dean, the Rick Griffin Estate, Oliver Vernon, and Mars-1, and has become an international gathering point for artists, collectors, and enthusiasts working in the genre.
Ripple Effect runs through August 2. It is the kind of show that rewards slow looking: layered, alive, and rooted in an era that still has a lot left to say.
