Leading at 90 Below Zero: Keeping Great Employees Focused and Fired Up!
About this Event
An Exclusive Invitation for Local CEOs & Business Owners
You weren't on a public list for this one. You're being personally invited.
Our local Vistage CEO Peer Group is opening its doors for a rare, one-time event and we want you in the room.
For three hours, a select group of local CEOs and SMB owners will gather for an experience most leaders never get: direct, unfiltered access to the kind of peer-level conversation and high-caliber speaker content that Vistage members get to experience year-round. This isn't a webinar. It's not a sales pitch. It's a working session with one of the country's most sought-after experts on building and keeping a high-performing sales team, led by a man who has quite literally pushed the limits of human endurance to get there.
Meet Your Guide: "Antarctic Mike" Pierce
Mike Pierce didn't earn the nickname "Antarctic Mike" by accident. In January 2006, he became one of only 12 people on Earth to run a marathon on the Antarctic continent. Eleven months later, he went back and became the first American ever to complete the Antarctic Ultra Marathon, a brutal 100-kilometer race across the ice. Since then, he's run winter marathons in Siberia, the Canadian Arctic, and on Mount Washington. He holds world records for the longest continuous spin bike ride (120 hours) and the longest non-stop swim in a lap pool (102 km / 65 miles). His story has been featured on CNN, ESPN, Fox, ABC, Sports Illustrated, and CBS.
But here's what matters most to you: Mike has spent decades in the trenches of corporate recruiting and executive search, helping organizations like FedEx, MetLife, Cintas, and Hershey find and develop top sales talent. He brings the same discipline, mental toughness, and relentless execution that carried him across the Antarctic ice directly into how he teaches business leaders to build winning sales organizations.
What You'll Walk Away With
This isn't theory. Mike's session is built for action, practical strategies you can implement the moment you're back at your desk:
- How to recruit top sales talent in a market where everyone's competing for the same people
- Proven retention strategies to stop losing your best performers to competitors
- Goal-setting and accountability systems that actually drive execution, not just intentions
- The discipline framework behind sustained high performance — in sales and in life
- Real talk from real experience — lessons from the ice that translate directly to leadership under pressure
Why This Matters Now
If you're a CEO or business owner, you already know: your sales team is the engine of your growth, and finding, keeping, and developing great salespeople is one of the hardest, most persistent challenges you face. Mike has spent his career solving exactly this problem for some of the most demanding organizations in the country and now he's bringing that playbook to our peer group.
