A koncert az NKA támogatásával valósul meg.Ripoff Raskolnikov 18 éves korában nekivágott a világnak, utcazenészként járta az európai országokat. Kezdetekben az európai népzenék foglalkoztatták, majd fokozatosan egyre nagyobb szerepet kapott az amerikai folklorban gyökerező dalszerzői attitüd, ami Bob Dylan, Tom Waits vagy akár a Rolling Stones zenéjét is meghatározza. Ikonikus színpadi megjelenését 1987 novemberében láthatta először a magyar közönség. Azóta számtalan koncertet adott nálunk, sőt immáron Magyarország az egyik otthona. Legutóbb 2019-ban jelentkezett albummal, ami az Small World címet viseli. Dalai az emberi érzelmek teljes spektrumát lefedik, mint a szerelem, az utazások, a mindennapok gondjai, szenvedély, veszteség, szépre való törekvés és az életéhség.
A Ripoff Raskolnikov Band az americana stílus legszínvonalasabb képviselői közé tartozik. (Americana gyüjtőnéven szerepel a blues, folk, singer - songwriter műfajok elemeit egyéni módon vegyítő zenei irányzat – kb. Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Steve Earle stb)
Raskolnikov lassan 30 éve él Magyarországon, sok honfitársunk is megirigyelhetné választékos szókincsét. Zenekara a legkiválóbb session zenészekből áll.
Anyanyelvi szinten beszéli az angolt, és sokak szerint a fent emlegetett urakhoz mérhető színvonalú dalszerző. Lemezei az utóbbi időkben egyre jobb kritikákat kapnak külföldön is.
Rendszeresen jelentkezik stúdió anyagokkal, a Small Worlds és az Odds and Ends című albuma egyaránt komoly elismerésekben részesült. A Ripoff Raskolnikov Band ma ez egyik legkiválóbb produkció a hazai palettán, a tagok valamennyien a műfaj élmezőnyébe tartozó veteránok.
