Delilah-Della’s Story 🪽
We have been asked to organise a very special ride in memory of beautiful baby Delilah-Della.
Like many expectant parents, Delilah’s Mum and Dad attended what should have been a routine pregnancy scan, never imagining that their world was about to change forever.
During the appointment, concerns were raised about Delilah’s kidneys, and the family were referred to specialists for further investigations. It was there that they received the devastating news that Delilah’s condition was not compatible with life.
Faced with an unimaginable situation, Delilah’s parents showed incredible courage and love as they navigated decisions no family should ever have to make.
On 8th May, beautiful Delilah-Della was born sleeping.
In the midst of their heartbreak, a cold cot gave Mum and Dad something truly precious: time. Time to hold their daughter, make memories, introduce family members, take photographs, and simply be her Mum and Dad without having to say goodbye too soon.
Those precious moments can never replace a lifetime, but they provide families with memories they can hold onto forever.
This fundraiser has been organised to help provide a cold cot in Delilah-Della’s memory, so that other families facing the same heartbreak are given the gift of time with their babies when they need it most.
We hope you will join us as we ride in memory of Delilah-Della and help create something beautiful from a family’s deepest loss.
