Ride For Little Ottilie 🌸🏍

💜 Ride for Ottilie 💜
It all started with a tiny lump.
On 8th May, Ottilie’s mummy took her to the GP because she’d noticed a small lump on the side of her little girl’s head. There hadn’t been a bump. No bruise. Nothing that explained why it was there.
Nobody could have imagined what would happen next.
A CT scan at Derby Children’s Hospital led to an emergency blue-light transfer to Nottingham QMC, where doctors initially feared the worst… a brain tumour.
Within just four days, this beautiful little girl had endured four general anaesthetics.
MRI scans.
A bone marrow biopsy.
A central line.
An MIBG scan.
A biopsy of the tumour in her skull.
Every parent’s worst nightmare became reality.
The diagnosis wasn’t a brain tumour…
It was high-risk neuroblastoma.
A rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
Since then, Ottilie has already faced emergency chemotherapy with a courage that most adults could never comprehend. Over the next 12–18 months, she will endure more chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, major surgery if possible, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
But even after all of that…
This cancer has a devastatingly high chance of coming back.
That’s why her family are desperately trying to raise enough money to get Ottilie to America for treatment that could give her the very best chance before relapse ever has the opportunity to happen.
She isn’t just fighting cancer…
She’s fighting for the chance to simply be a little girl.
To laugh.
To play.
To make memories with the people who love her.
To live the childhood every child deserves.
No family should ever have to face this.
💜 That’s where we come in.
On this ride, every bike represents hope.
Every mile we ride tells Ottilie and her family that they are not fighting this battle alone.
So whether you’re riding with us, donating, sharing this event or simply cheering from the roadside…
You are helping give one incredibly brave little girl the very best chance.
Let’s make sure that one day, when Ottilie is old enough to understand just how many people stood behind her, she knows an entire community rode beside her.
Together, we make wishes happen.
