Join us for a Mural Celebration with Ribbon Cutting! Friday, February 28, 2025, 5-7pm, Free and Open to the Public! Artist Talks start at 5:30pm! Artist Ron Dixon began the "Lake Street" mural in the Fall of 2019 and finished in the Fall of 2024, in the Art Library at Community Arts of Elmira on the Elmira Creative Corridor. Dixon transformed the entire Art Library to create a truly immersive arts and cultural experience of visual art storytelling coupling historical eras with the license of his artistic imagination. Please join us for an evening of community, art, history and historic preservation, while enjoying free refreshments, live music and infinite community connections on the Elmira Creative Corridor! Could there be more? Yes, the Closing Celebrations of "Thread by Thread," The Przygoda Gallery, Curated by Artist Filomena Lisi Jack of Filomena Jack Studio, and "The Fusion Arts COLLECTIVE," The Community Arts Gallery, Led by Instructional Lead Jharmi Cuba Leach and Creative Apprentice Beth Anderson of Water Bird Arts, layer this sensational evening with even more cultural perspectives of creative expression!
