RIBA Wiltshire: A day of co-work at Studio Bacchus
About this Event
Join Klas Hyllén at Studio Baccus to hear about some of their recent retrofit projects. Klas will also talk about the practice and ideas for developing shared ways of working in the future. Plus you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the space with co-working in the afternoon.

About Klas Hyllén
Klas Hyllén grew up on the coast in southern Sweden and has lived and worked in the UK since early 2000. Coming from a family of makers, artists and thinkers he developed an interest for architecture early on. He has always been interested in the relationship between context, materials and in how buildings relate to their place and natural environment.
Klas graduated with a first-class honours degree in Architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art followed by a Diploma in Architecture with distinction. Klas went on to earn a Master of Philosophy at Edinburgh University for his work on 'The Unconscious Life of Old Town', a research project by design on the relationship between the perception of our built environment and contemporary architecture within a historic context.
Klas has also held Associate Lecturer positions at Edinburgh University and UWE Bristol.
About Klas Hyllén Architecture
Klas Hyllén Architects are a RIBA Award winning contemporary architecture studio specialising in the design of bespoke, environmentally conscious homes.
This year they won a RIBA South West & Wessex Sustainability Award for Sky House and were shortlisted also in the RIBA West Midlands Awards for Malvern Pool House.
In 2024 they won a 2024 RIBA South West & Wessex Award for House for a Violinist in Bradford on Avon – an inventive home for a musician client who commissioned Klas Hyllén to remodel two adjacent houses into a single dwelling where he could play without his bow hitting the low ceilings.
Klas Hyllén Architecture have a particular interest in working with existing buildings and within historic contexts. They have experience on projects ranging from highly thermally efficient new houses, brave contemporary interventions and listed buildings, through to technically challenging retrofit projects.
