RIBA Northwest Summer Symposium
About this Event
The Future Architect: AI, People and Changing Practice.
This conference explores the forces reshaping architectural practice and asks what it means to be an architect today and in the future. Addressing the profession’s most pressing challenges, the event will examine issues including fees and salaries, the impact of AI, climate‑conscious design, client expectations, and the need for greater diversity and inclusion across practice.
Bringing together architects, institutions, and market voices, the conference creates a space for open dialogue. It is designed to resonate equally with small and medium practices and large organisations, with each session carefully structured to engage architects at all stages of their careers and from all backgrounds.
The programme begins in the mid‑afternoon with five panel discussions examining the evolving realities of practice. The event concludes with a final panel debate, before transitioning into an informal social evening providing time to reflect and network!
Food and refreshments are included throughout the event, with alcoholic drinks provided during the evening social.
