About this Event
RIBA North Stitching Time: Roaming Britain
11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm, Friday 7th August 2026
Gallery Two, RIBA North, 21 Mann Island, Liverpool waterfront, Liverpool.
Free, please book a place. On the day drop-ins welcome.
Join RIBA Learning for a morning or afternoon of sewing and chat within the exhibition ‘Roaming Britain’. We will be adding to the Stitching Time project started in 2025 and hope visitors will join us again to sew. The fabric is an evolving piece that reflects the contributors' interests and the conversations that unfold.
Come along to meet new people or chat to an old friend, while you stitch some shapes, words, patterns or draw with thread. The gallery will become our communal studio to create a mindful stitched work together. We will be joined by the exhibition curator, Lauren Alderton. Lauren is also the co-author of the Roaming Britain book, and is Assistant Curator of Drawings and Archives at the RIBA Collections.
For all ages, under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
