Expect high-impact talks, lab tour opportunities, and a chance to meet the amazing researchers who are pushing the boundaries of childhood cancer research to make treatments kinder and more specific, with the ultimate goal of curing this indiscriminate disease. There will also be interactive activities that make learning about genetics and childhood cancer engaging and accessible for everyone.
What to expect
- Young Scientist Zone: Get hands-on with engaging activities run by our scientists.
- Behind-the-Scenes Lab Tours: Visit the labs where pioneering research is taking place. See how treatments are developed for childhood cancers and how, thanks to Children's Cancer North's supporters, research is being funded that helps children and families across the North East and Cumbria and beyond.
- Research Poster Display: Hear from the researchers and the current projects they are working on. View a visual display of their research to see the 'bigger picture' of their work.
- Meet the Experts: Chat one-on-one with researchers and clinicians, explore their current projects, and ask your questions in the dedicated expert zone.
