Displaying their art individually and collectively for the first time, Sabrina Beydoun and Kell Oliver have each been documenting with a sense of awe and grief for over two decades.
We invite you to this rare opportunity to view some of their their work in person and take some of it home as well.

What to expect:
𓇢Arrive at 7pm to get first come first serve purchases of the work and experience the gallery in all its elements including: Zaatar Popcorn + Arak Tasting, Collective altar experience
𓇢At 8:15 we'll all come together to watch Farrah's film Buffer Zone
"In this short film, which is part-documentary and part-memoir, Farrah Berrou takes us to her ancestral border village of Kfarkila in southern Lebanon for the first time since October 8, 2023, the same day that Lebanon became a support-front to Palestine in a post-October 7th world."
𓇢After the film we will contribute to the collective altar and ground ourselves in the reason for gathering.

ACCESSIBILITY
There are a couple steps leading up to the front entrance on Buena Ave. The ramp entrance can be accessed from the back parking lot, via Clarendon Avenue. For the ramp entrance, let the event organizers know so the door can be propped open. The event will all take place on one level and all restrooms and hallways are wheelchair accessible. Multi-stall restrooms are located in the kitchen and hallway and a single occupancy restroom is located to the right of the stairwell.
Mask are strongly encouraged indoors, and will be available for free at check-in. We also have a HEPA air recirculator in our main event space.
TRANSIT AND PARKING:
Haymarket House is located at 800 W. Buena Ave on the corner of Buena and Clarendon in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. The 146, 151, and 36 CTA buses stop nearby. The CTA Red Line Sheridan and Wilson stations are each about a 12-15 min walk/roll away. There is free street parking in the surrounding area. Outside of school hours, parking for a fee is available nearby at the Walt Disney Magnet School lot at 4149 N Clarendon Ave. or the Brenneman School lot at 4251 N. Clarendon Ave, both are about a block away. Paid parking is also available through parking apps like Spot Hero.
