About this Event

Join us for an engaging talk that explores the science behind food choices and how you can harness this knowledge in your daily life. We’ll delve into the psychology, biology, and broader social factors that shape what we eat, offering evidence-based insights to help you rethink your relationship with food.

You’ll leave with practical strategies and tips to make meaningful changes to your diet and improve your overall well-being.

About our speaker

Dr Suzanna Forwood is a cognitive psychologist interested in food choice, the factors that determine food choice and the tools available to improve the healthiness of food choices. Suzanna joined ARU in 2015, after researching nudge interventions in online supermarkets at the Behaviour and Health Research Unit, University of Cambridge, computational models of perception and memory, and the neuroscience of recognition memory. She is currently researching food choice, testing the theory that we use heuristics in our day-to-day lives. She is researching how people plan meals, pack lunches for children and the link between familiarity and food liking.

Event presented as part of the Cambridge Festival.
