About this Event

This literary honour is given to the writer of the best article from the previous two years of the Jewish Renaissance issues. The winning article engages the contribution of the Jewish creative spirit to the intellectual and artistic life of the twentieth century through to the present day. You can read the winning article here.

The late Peter Gilbert, teacher of creative writing and passionate about twentieth century Jewish literature, was the much loved uncle of Adam Glinsman, a long-time friend and supporter of the Woolf Institute. This prize honours Peter's memory.
