Rethinking Human Factors- CPD Accredited Workshop 1/2 Day

This CPD accredited workshop explores the real meaning of human factors, as we examine the elements of everyday work systems and their interactions.

Together we will look at system elements such as procedures, tasks, equipment and organisational factors. We will evaluate how the design and interconnections, of such elements, can be improved to meet the twin aims of Human Factors, to focus on human wellbeing and achieving better system performance.

This interactive workshop will explore:

• More appropriate human factors definitions (moving away from inappropriate labels)

• Old vs New View of Human Error

• Systems Thinking approaches

• Elements of design including communication protocols

• Local rationality principle

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

Articulate the real meaning of human factors

Proactively identify problems in everyday work in your organisation

Apply systems-thinking tools to benefit your workplace

Collaboratively develop improvement ideas for your work system

There are practical elements and breakouts throughout this workshop, so it should be informative and hopefully fun too!
