Restoring Lady Liberty highlights the remarkable journey of America’s most iconic symbol of freedom - her origins, her deterioration, and her renewal - as well as the vibrant role artist Peter Max played in bringing national attention to her restoration.
View an original Peter Max "1981 Liberty Series” painting created at the White House, along with a rare bronze re-casting of an early 1875 model by sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. Learn about Lady Liberty’s journey from concept to creation in this limited time exhibition presented first in Alpharetta City Hall and then at Alpharetta Arts Center (dates and times below).
