About this Event
RESTORATIVE YOGA & SOUND HEALING JOURNEY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 31ST
FROM 1:00PM TO 2:30PM
AT: LOTUS LIGHT CONTEMPLATIVE CENER
The journey begins with a gentle Hatha Yoga session led by Ajeet Khalsa, allowing the body and mind to settle into a state of relaxation. Once you are settled, you will be enveloped in an hour of meditative poems and healing vibrations from Robert Worth.
As a master luthier, Robert builds and plays his own handcrafted instruments, including the meditation lyre, dulcimer, kantele, and tongue drum. These soft, hand-played sounds help us connect deeply with the therapeutic power of live music.
During the experience, each participant will be invited to play the meditation lyre themselves. There are no wrong notes on the meditation lyre, anyone can play, connect, and feel restored.
What to Bring
To help you fully absorb the experience, we encourage you to dress comfortably. While Lotus Light provides mats and cushions, please feel free to bring your own “comfort items” to create a cozy nest:
A sleep mask (Highly recommended to help you focus more intently on the auditory experience)
Personal yoga mats or cushions
Pillows and blankets
Cost: $10
MEET ROBERT & AJEET:
Robert Worth has been a woodworker and luthier for nearly 50 years, crafting mountain dulcimers, clocks, and meditative instruments. His lifelong interest in alternative medicine and love of music inspired him to share the healing power of sound baths with the community.
Ajeet Khalsa is a registered yoga teacher who has shared her practice in Knoxville for over 30 years. A long-time member of the Lotus Light board, she is dedicated to helping students find peace through gentle movement.
