About this Event
Join the Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program and Escambia County for a Restoration Ramble at the new Carpenter Creek Headwaters Park. This project restored 2.6 ac of wetland habitat through debris and invasive plant removal, native plantings and construction of new stormwater facilities to reduce pollution entering the creek.
Additional community amenities include walking paths, picnic tables, and a pollinator garden.
This project was funded by Escambia County’s Local Option Sales Tax and grants from the Florida Trustee Implementation Group as part of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Natural Resource Damage Assessment process.
Wile all ages are welcome, this walking tour will be primarily geared toward adults.
