reStart Inc Homecoming Volunteering

reStart's Homecoming Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year! To make this event a success, we are looking for volunteers to ensure that the night goes smoothly and provides an environment that promotes giving back to the unhoused individuals and families in Kansas City.

We have many shifts available, so there is something for everyone! Whether it be working to create centerpieces, greeting guests as they arrive, or helping us close out the night by getting guests their winnings, there is something for everyone!

The roles are as follows:

• Same Day Set Up (10:00am-3:00pm): Help us make sure tables are decorated, signage is up, and the silent auction is set up.
• Check In (4:00pm-7:00pm): Help us make sure guests are checked in, we have their correct information, and they have a payment method on their account. There will be on site training for this role.
• Dinner Service (6:00pm-8:00pm): Help us make sure guests are all served their meals. The meals are catered family style, so the pans will be taken to each table and then will be collected after. For this role, you will need to be able to lift approximately 15 pounds.
• Check Out (8:00pm-9:00pm): Help us ensure that guests receive their correct items after the silent and live auction. There will be on site training for this role.
• Tear Down (9:00pm-10:00pm): After the conclusion of our event, we need to have all of our items removed by 10:00pm. Tear down volunteers will help us gather all of our items and get them into cars that will go back to our facility.
