# Big emotions aren't bad behaviour but communication.
This practical and interactive 2-hour workshop will help you understand what anger is really telling us, why children struggle to regulate big emotions, and give you the strategies to respond in ways that strengthen parent-child relationship. Expect interactive activities, real-life parenting scenarios, videos, and practical tools you can use at home immediately.
You'll learn:
- Why children experience big emotional outbursts
- How to recognise the signals behind your child’s emotions and help them clam down
- How to respond in way that build trust, connection, and emotional strength.
- Tips to help them develop lifelong emotional regulation skills
Session Information
- Facilitated by a certified Tuning in to Kids facilitator with extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Based on the core principles and strategies of the evidence-based parenting program.
- Best suited for parents and carers of children aged 2–9 years
- Adult-only session. Childcare is not provided.
