Description:
Singing and sounding together around a fire is a practice that many humans across cultures have participated in for thousands upon thousands of years. Joining our voices in song fosters a sense of interconnection, soothes our nervous systems, and brings us into deeper presence.
RESONANCE is a community and culture-building experiment where we will blend singing together with other intentional relational practices. After grounding through communal sounding (inspired by Circle Singing), we will get into small groups to share what is alive for us, receive the gift of witness and embodied support, and return to the group to be held again in song. The songs we sing will be chosen in response to what each of us is bringing into the space.
In this space, we are singing and sounding for the pleasure of the experience itself, with an emphasis on embodiment and connection over perfection. You don't need to read music or have any previous singing experience to participate. Your voice is wanted and welcome here!
Energy Exchange:
Suggested donation $15-30 with a portion of proceeds tithed to the Amah Mutsun Land Trust. You can RSVP for free and pay when you arrive via cash or Venmo. Please come if you are called; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Lux Gypsum (all pronouns) is a queer, non-binary politicized healer, relational educator, and cultural visionary who connects deeply with song as a healing practice. In their workshops, talks, and client work, Lux focuses on conflict transformation, somatic trauma resolution, and growing our skills to create resilient, purpose-oriented communities. For over 9 years, Lux has honed their capacity to skillfully hold potent group containers for learning and healing. In addition to facilitating community workshops and events, Lux is also a Somatic Coach, Conflict Mediator, and Community Consultant, supporting individuals, couples, and groups to embody the world they long for. Lux is trauma-informed and committed to uprooting supremacy culture in all their work, imperfectly.
