About this Event
Aine Steenson is exploring the schooling experiences for children who present with a PDA profile and will involve capturing the viewpoints of children and parents with relation to these experiences. She will also be delivering PDA training to three mainstream primary school staff teams and measuring the impact of this training following an implementation period. The aim of the study is to improve outcomes for the children, via increasing the knowledge of the profile and associated best practice with school staff.
Susan Keery's research explores innovative approaches to anxiety treatment for autistic individuals, focusing on embedding setting-specific filmed scenarios into evidence-based practice. By using immersive 360-degree videos tailored to real-life environments, the study aims to enhance therapeutic engagement and reduce anxiety in a more accessible and personalised way.
