Hailing from Tucson Arizona, Howe Gelb is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and producer. Widely recognized as a pioneer of "desert rock" and the "godfather of alt-country", he is the driving force behind the prolific band Giant Sand. Undefinable in many ways, he is known to blend a lo-fi, eclectic, and improvised style that blends blues, jazz, and indie rock. With over 50 albums under his belt, he has been at the forefront of the indie music scene for decades, and often collaborates with a variety of artists, notably Robert Plant, PJ Harvey, and, more recently, he formed a super-trio with M Ward and Mark McKowksi, titled Geckøs.

Welcome to McKowski Cafe, a weekly happening taking place each Thursday, where you get the chance to see your favourite artists in the very intimate setting of the speakeasy bar of the Harrison Hotel. Each night is curated by Mark McKowksi, introducing a special musical guest for a live performance in The Live Lounge, with table service and candlelight vibes, followed by vinyl listening in the speakeasy bar for those who wish to stay for a late drink. Music begins at 8pm but feel free to arrive early for pre-drinks in the speakeasy bar. Tickets are limited and are £15 per show (plus booking fee). Special combo offers available for a room and ticket for those wishing to stay the night. Also season tickets available for £100 so you can attend every show this season.
