Learn • Practice • Be Ready.
This 90 minute class introduces kids to important emergency response and lifesaving concepts in an age appropriate, interactive environment. Kids will get opportunities to actually practice skills, work through scenarios, and build confidence instead of simply sitting through a lesson.
Kids Will Learn & Practice
• How to recognize when something may be a serious emergency
• When to get a trusted adult and when to call 911
• What happens when they call 911 and what a dispatcher may ask
• What to do if someone will not wake up
• Hands Only CPR awareness and hands on practice with training manikins
• What an AED is and how it can help
• Hands on practice using AED training devices
• How to recognize choking and age appropriate choking response
• How to stay calm, get help, and make safe choices during an emergency
Our goal is not to make kids responsible for handling emergencies on their own. It is to help them develop the confidence to recognize a problem, get the right help, and understand what they can safely do to help.
About Rescue Ready Kids
Rescue Ready Kids is a hands on safety and emergency preparedness series for children ages 7 to 10.
Each class focuses on one specific safety topic, allowing kids plenty of time to learn, practice, and build confidence. Other Rescue Ready Kids topics include Basic First Aid Awareness & Skills, Home Smart, and Water Safety.
⚠️ Please note: This is a non certification awareness and skills class. Participants will not receive a CPR/AED certification card.
Space is limited to allow plenty of hands on practice and individual participation. Advance registration and payment are required.
