About this Event
Our Concept: Repeated Encounters is a recurring Singapore Mahjong-centred social gathering that brings people together through play, conversation, and the simple magic of seeing familiar faces again.
Rather than a networking event or singles mixer, it is designed as an emotionally safe, low-pressure space where connections can unfold naturally through shared tables, recurring familiarity, and meaningful interactions over time.
Core Philosophy: We believe some encounters are not meant to be defined too quickly, and it is important in allowing them to unfold slowly and naturally.
Please note that we maintain a strict no-gambling policy. No money or prizes will be involved in the games.
About Mahjong Lah: Founded in 2019, Mahjong Lah is a Singapore-based community and experience brand that brings people together through mahjong. Having introduced thousands of participants to the game through classes, social events, and corporate programmes, Mahjong Lah believes that the mahjong table is a space where conversations and stories can be shared.
Through Repeated Encounters, we create a welcoming space for meaningful conversations, familiar faces, and connections that unfold naturally over time.
About Gravity by Noir Studio: Gravity is Noir Collective's wellness and lifestyle space, created to bring people together through movement, creativity, and meaningful shared experiences. In addition to wellness classes, the space hosts a curated range of lifestyle events, workshops, and community gatherings designed to foster connection, exploration, and personal growth in an intimate and welcoming environment.

Mahjong Games
Info: Participants can expect to meet and connect with one another over a game of Singapore Mahjong. Mahjong Pass holders should have a basic familiarity with Singapore Mahjong rules, as no teaching will be provided during the event. If you're new to the game, the Community Pass is a great way to join the experience, meet fellow participants, and observe the games.
Light Snacks & Refreshments
Info: Featuring sliders from Smash Street, a new open kitchen bar, by the team behind the hit pasta joint Scarpetta along Amoy Street. Skip the queue and try it at Repeated Encounters.
Pitch-Your-Interest
Info: At this edition of Repeated Encounters, participants are invited (on a voluntary basis) to share a one-minute pitch about an interest, hobby, project, or idea they are passionate about, or a current obsession.
It's our way of replacing "What do you do?" with "What lights you up lately?"
You never know who in the room might be looking for exactly the same thing.
After Party Dinner (Optional)
Info: For participants who'd like to continue the evening, there will be an optional after-party dinner nearby once the official programme concludes.
A relaxed setting for conversations to continue and connections to unfold naturally. If you'd like to join for dinner, please indicate your interest in the sign up form so we can reserve a spot for you.
