Join us to remove Himalayan Blackberry and Scotch Broom along the East side of the park. There is parking in the Goldfinch Arts centre (170 Goldfinch Rd.)Please wear comfortable clothing that covers your arms and legs to protect from thorny plants & insects. Wear comfortable, sturdy closed-toe shoes that allow you to safely walk on uneven ground. Bring eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses) to wear. And finally, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
We will provide training, tools, gloves, and snacks.
If this is your first volunteer event with Friends of Colwood Parks, we will assist you onsite to sign up with the City of Colwood volunteer program.
