Release & Reset - Hypnosis & Sound Bath for Nervous System Recovery
About this Event
Stress, worry and emotions can get caught in our bodies and minds and get in the way of us being effective, happy and successful humans. Often these things can't be thought through. They need to be released.
Join us for an evening that combines guided hypnosis with the healing vibrations of a sound bath, designed to help your body and mind finally let go.
Whether you're carrying stress you can't quite name, working through emotions that feel stuck, or you simply need a deep nervous system reset, this is a space to let go. You won't need to talk about it, analyze it, or figure it out. You just need to lie down and let your body do what it already knows how to do.
The evening opens with a guided hypnosis session led by Jessica Taylor, Clinic Director at Pleasant Hypnosis, to help settle your mind and guide you into a deeply relaxed state. From there, Joanna Brewster will take over with a live sound bath, using resonant instruments to help move you further into rest, release, and restoration.
This event is limited to 8 people, so the space stays small, quiet, and easy to relax into.
What to expect:
Ninety minutes of guided relaxation, no experience needed. You'll be lying down for most of the evening, so come ready to get comfortable and let the outside world go for a while.
Meet the practitioners
Jessica Taylor
Jessica is a Clinic Director and Consulting Hypnotist at Pleasant Hypnosis in Vancouver, where she helps people release what's been holding them back using hypnosis and NLP. She's a trained Buteyko breathwork instructor with a background in the vagus nerve and nervous system, which shapes how she guides people into deep, lasting states of calm. For this event, Jessica will lead the hypnosis portion of the evening, helping you settle into a relaxed state before the sound bath begins.
Joanna Brewster
Joanna is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach, and the founder of Heart Talks. Her own path through chronic pain, loss, and a major life transition led her to yoga, breathwork, and somatic healing, and shaped her belief that emotions aren't problems to fix, they're messengers to listen to. She now brings that same heart-centred, nervous-system-aware approach to sound healing, guiding people into deep rest so the body can finally let go of what it's been holding. For this event, Joanna will lead the sound bath portion of the evening.
