Rejuvenation Days

Join York BID to help keep York looking its best by cleaning and repainting street furniture like bike racks, benches, bollards, and more.

Each volunteering session runs from 09:00 to 13:00 and will take place in the Micklegate area (March), Goodramgate area (June), and Fossgate area (September), with the meeting location to be confirmed closer to the time.

York BID coordinated 9 Rejuvenation Days throughout 2024 and, thanks to fantastic support from over 200 volunteers, completed 700 pieces of individual infrastructure. With your help, we hope to continue this work throughout 2025 and make even more progress.

A few things to be aware of:

• The majority of the work we will be doing it painting, so we ask that all volunteers wear clothing they are happy to risk getting paint on.
• Sadly, due to the nature of the work, we must cancel the event if there is rain. Please make sure to keep an eye on your emails the day before, in case we need to cancel.
• If you are volunteering on behalf of your workplace, please let us know when booking your place, so that we can ensure your organisation gets a shoutout in comms.
