Amy Schenck will open the ceremony by serving you a cup of organic ceremonial-grade cacao, a healing plant medicine known for its heart-opening and grounding properties, setting the intention for the journey ahead. As you sip the warm elixir, allow its richness to awaken your senses and connect you to the present moment through the loving support of Mama Cacao. She is often referred to as “Mama Cacao” because she is a feminine and loving fruit. Cacao is a wise messenger and heart healer. Cacao allows you to feel calm, euphoric, alert, blissful, grounded, safe, loved and loving.
Held by the love and support of cacao, we will transition into a Reiki-infused sound bath led by Kendra Sheehan. Let the waves of sound wash over you, releasing tension and inviting a sense of peace, balance, and self-love. Immerse yourself in the soothing vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other healing instruments, guiding you into a state of deep relaxation and meditation. Each sound is thoughtfully crafted to resonate with different energy centers in the body, promoting healing and alignment. How to Prepare
Please drink plenty of water before the event and dress comfortably in layers. We encourage you to refrain from eating for two hours before the event, or eat lighter if needed.
We invite you to bring water, a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow to ensure you feel completely relaxed and comfortable during the event. You may also wish to bring an eye mask, journal and pen, and/or special items such as crystals, photos, or other items from nature to support you in your journey. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled.
About Your Hosts
Amy Schenck, Founder of Ocean State Reiki, is s Registered Nurse with a board certification in holistic health. She is also a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and a Shamanic Reiki Master Practitioner. She has completed a mentorship working with ceremonial cacao and a 10 week in depth cacao training with The Mayan Wisdom Project.
Amy has worked closely with Reiki and ceremonial cacao in her own journey of remembering her divine essence and has felt called to share this medicine with others. Her goal in each event is to create a safe and sacred container allowing you to relax into a shift in perception away from false beliefs about our inherent worth and towards a deeper knowing about our individual and collective alignment with pure Love. She believes in the power of healing in community.
Kendra Sheehan, Founder of Intune Energy, is passionate about using Sound Healing and Reiki to assist others in their healing journey through the power of life force energy, sound, vibration, and frequency. She believes that everyone has the ability to heal themselves, sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us during the journey. True healing occurs when we address the root cause of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. Her goal is to help you tap into your inner wisdom and access your own innate healing abilities.
Kendra is a certified Sound Healer & Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and does one-on-one sound healing and reiki sessions in Barrington as well as group events at various venues throughout Rhode Island.
