Regulatory Fairness Hearing - Mankato, MN

The SBA office of the National Ombudsman and the SBA Office of Advocacy will host a hearing on lawfare and regulatory reform. This hearing will give an opportunity for small business owners to share directly with the federal government how federal regulations may be harming their business.

This hearing will focus on Southern Minnesota corn, soybean, hog and turkey operators.

What will be covered

• Federal grazing rules affecting working farmland
• Federal habitat rules affecting working farmland
• Farm-loan servicing
• Animal-agriculture inspection

While these topics will be the focus, any small business owner is welcome to share their own regulatory challenges.

Testimony is entered into the record, referred to the responsible agency for a response, and shared with the SBA Office of Advocacy for regulatory follow-up.
