Regenerative Leadership: Taming Your Inner Critic with Horses
What if your inner critic wasn't the enemy?
Most of us spend a lot of energy fighting the voice in our head that says we're not good enough, not ready, not qualified. But what if there was a better way—one that doesn't require silencing that voice, but learning to work with it?
Join us for a hands-on morning at Westwind Barn in Half Moon Bay, where you'll learn a practical framework for transforming self-doubt into grounded leadership—with horses as your teachers.
What You'll Experience:
This 3.5-hour workshop combines coaching education with equine-partnered exercises. Horses are masters at reading energy and intention. They don't care about your job title or your to-do list—they respond to how you show up. That makes them powerful mirrors for the patterns we often can't see in ourselves.
You'll learn the 3 Rs Framework: Recognize, Respect, Redirect—a simple, memorable approach to working with your inner critic instead of against it.
You'll rotate through three hands-on stations with the horses:
- Leading: Practice guiding a horse through a simple course. Notice when doubt creeps in and how clarity changes everything.
- Grooming & Connection: Slow down, regulate your nervous system, and practice presence without agenda.
- Round Pen Work: Explore leadership through body language and intention—no words, just energy.
No horse experience is required. The horses do the teaching.
What You'll Walk Away With:
- A practical framework you can use immediately when self-doubt shows up
- Insight into your leadership patterns and presence
- A reset for your nervous system (being with horses will do that)
- Connection with a small group of like-minded professionals
- A workbook to continue the work on your own
Who This Is For:
- Professionals feeling stuck, stressed, or plagued by imposter syndrome
- Leaders who want to show up with more clarity and confidence
- Anyone curious about equine-partnered coaching
- People who learn best by doing, not just listening
What's Included:
- 3.5 hours of guided instruction and hands-on horse work
- Printed workbook
- Light refreshments (coffee, tea, snacks)
- All equipment provided (helmets, grooming supplies, etc.)
What to Wear:
Closed-toe shoes required (boots or sturdy sneakers). Dress in layers—we'll be outdoors and in the barn.
