I will be taking the Three Refuges and Five Precepts with Thích Trí Hoằng of the Pháp Nguyên Temple in Pearland, TX.
(What on earth did I just say, you ask? I will be attending a ceremony to 'officially' 'become a Buddhist' within a Thien (Vietnamese Zen) tradition)
Since I do not live anywhere near Texas, I will be attending remotely, making this an excellent opportunity for our interfaith congregation to gain insight on rites and principles that can be found in Buddhism/dharma practice. As such, I will be setting up for this special day at the Huntington Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and I invite all Fellows and Friends of the Fellowship to share space with me either for the education or to show support for my spiritual journey.
The event begins promptly at noon, so to avoid disruption, please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early. If you feel like bringing food, please do!
