Reforestation Preparation at the Confluence Natural Area

Meeting location: 4214 Highland Farm Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278.

What to bring: A water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Feel free to bring your favorite work gloves, bug spray, sunscreen, or invasive plant removal tools!

What we bring: Extra water, bug spray, sunscreen, granola bars, work gloves, and all the tools and equipment you'll need!

What we'll be doing: Using loppers, hand saws, and machetes to cut sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) saplings into stakes, which we'll be using in October to mark the planting locations for a reforestation project. New volunteers are welcome!

Qúe haremos: Usar podadoras, sierras de mano, y machetes para cortar retoños de liquidámbar americano (Liquidambar styraciflua) para postes, cuales usaremos para marcar sitios para un proyecto de reforestación. Voluntarios nuevos son bienvenidos!
