Reflect & Restore
About this Event
We spend so much of our time responding to work, responsibilities, screens, other people, and the constant pull of what needs our attention next. When was the last time you set aside 90 minutes just to listen to yourself?
Reflect & Restore is an invitation to do exactly that.
Through gentle somatic movement and guided reflective journaling, you’ll step away from the noise, soften physical tension, quiet the mental chatter, and create space to hear what may be harder to notice in the rush of everyday life.
Maybe there’s a question you’ve been turning over. A creative idea that needs room. A decision you haven’t quite found clarity around. Or maybe you simply need a morning where nothing is being asked of you.
Think of it as a date with yourself. 90 minutes to move, breathe, listen, write, and see what emerges.
Led by local yoga instructor Monica Percich of The Yoga Tree LA, the experience combines easy, intuitive movement with guided writing prompts designed to deepen awareness and connection between body and mind. No yoga experience, writing experience, or flexibility required. Come exactly as you are.
Finding the Gallery:
When you arrive at 121 N. Kenwood Street, do not enter the apartment lobby or take the alley. Walk around the opposite side of the building from the alley. You’ll see string lights along the walkway. Follow them around to the ace/121 Gallery entrance, facing Louise Street.
What to Bring
• A journal or notebook
• A pen, pencil or anything you enjoy writing or doodling with
• A yoga mat or blanket for sitting and lying down
• Soft, comfortable clothing you can move freely in
• An open mind
What to Expect
Ground & Settle
Gentle breathing and sensory practices help you arrive and become present in the space.
Somatic Movement
Slow, intuitive movement focuses less on how a pose looks and more on how movement feels from within. No prior yoga or movement experience is needed.
Reflective Journaling
Guided prompts create space to capture the thoughts, insights, questions and creative ideas that emerge through movement.
Community Connection
We'll close with an optional supportive circle share. Participate or simply listen.
