Refining the Intuitive Read: Six Steps to Catch Bias and Gain Clarity in Your Tarot Readings
Workshop with Mary K. Greer
Whether you read for yourself or others, therapeutically or intuitively, there’s a six-step process that is going on below your level of awareness involving different parts of your brain-heart.
In this workshop, you will learn these six steps and engage in experiential practice so that each stage becomes something on which you can rely and not just blindly trust. You will gain sharper discernment and a framework that will refine the intuition you already have. Explore divination as source-based numinosity versus the time-based needs of prediction.
PLEASE BRING a Tarot deck (a pictorial deck, like the Rider-Waite-Smith, is recommended) and notebook, pad or other writing surface and something to write with.
Basic knowledge of Tarot is necessary.
Mary K. Greer is an author, reader, scholar, and teacher of tarot, having dedicated nearly six decades to its mysteries. As a professor at a liberal arts college, she taught tarot for 11 years and now teaches around the world, featuring experiential methods that advance learning and build expertise. Her 1984 groundbreaking book, Tarot for Your Self, revolutionized the practice of tarot. In addition to her eleven other books, she’s contributed to several anthologies, especially on the life of tarot artist Pamela Colman Smith, and on the historical development of the meanings and symbolism of individual tarot cards. She recently taught a related course for the Morgan Library & Museum’s Tarot! Renaissance Symbols, Modern Visions exhibit alongside neuroscientist Siddharth Ramakrishnan.
