Join us for after-hours film screenings celebrating beloved stories adapted from classic literature as part of our library open day.

Enjoy the:

• iconic 1976 Australian film Storm Boy (rated G, 1 hour 28 minutes)
• acclaimed 1939 adaptation of Wuthering Heights (rated PG, 1 hour 45 minutes)

• This activity is suitable for people aged 8 years and older.
• Parents or guardians must sign in for attendees and stay in the library space for the screening duration.

Info: Storm Boy lives with his reclusive father, Tom, on the Coorong—a breathtaking 100-kilometre stretch of windswept dunes where the Murray River meets the sea. In this wild and peaceful landscape, he spends his days exploring with his beloved pelican, Mr. Percival, and his Aboriginal friend, Fingerbone Bill.

Their quiet life is disrupted by the arrival of outsiders, including a local teacher determined to send Storm Boy to school, a resentful wildlife ranger, and a group of duck hunters. Faced with these new pressures, Storm Boy must choose between the freedom of his isolated life and the challenges of the wider world.
