Redruth Photo Walk with Abdelrahman Nabahin -Refugee Week Celebration

Join us in the courtyard at Krowji for 3PM for a special circular photo walk around Redruth with photographer and visual storyteller Abdelrahman Nabahin, as part of our Refugee Week celebrations.

'My name is Abdelrahman Nabahin, a photographer and visual storyteller from Gaza, Palestine. I am currently based in Cornwall, where I study Documentary and Editorial Photography at Falmouth University. For me, photography is not just about creating images, but a way of understanding and expressing reality, and a tool that anyone can use to communicate and see the world more deeply.

I studied journalism in Gaza and worked as a freelance photographer with several local agencies. Due to difficult conditions and periods of escalation, I began learning motion graphics and video editing to work online. During recent events, I continued documenting using only my phone, driven by my belief in the importance of photography in conveying human experience. I also collaborated with artists outside Gaza to transform these moments into visual work.

Now in the UK, I am developing my practice with a focus on identity, memory, and resilience, while also sharing my knowledge and experience in photography with others and encouraging people to use it as a tool for expression and connection.'

An Arts Lab Showcase celebrating creativity, community, and the powerful voices of young artists aged 9-17 with lived experiences of displacement.
