Rediscover the Unforgettable: Whitewater Rafting in Sylva

The Tuckasegee is the ideal river for first-time rafters, families with young children (minimum age limit is 4), and those who want more of a relaxing river trip with warmer water and milder Class I & II rapids. Trips average 2 hours and cover approximately 5.5 miles of river. Shuttle service is included.

This is a self-guided paddle trip on a friendly stretch of water. Single and tandem “duckie” kayaks are available; these boats are sturdy inflatables and are easy to paddle.

There is a boat rental fee for this event, payable upon arrival: $20 for rafts (3-person minimum), $30 for single kayaks, $25 for double kayaks.

Participants must be at least 4 years old or weigh a minimum of 40 pounds.
