The Red River Women's Studies conference brings together scholars, artists, activists, educators, and community members to explore the ongoing and unfinished revolutions of feminist thought and practice. Centered on the theme Unfinished Revolutions: Feminism, Art, and the Legacies of Resistance, the conference examines how creative expression and collective action have shaped and continue to shape movements for gender justice in the Red River Valley and beyond.
Across disciplines and generations, participants will consider how feminist resistance has been imagined, represented, and enacted through art, literature, performance, and grassroots organizing. The conference highlights the ways historical struggles inform contemporary movements, while also asking critical questions about whose voices have been amplified, whose have been marginalized, and what work remains undone.
