Recycling Rocks! 4-Day Summer Camp
About this Event
This four-day camp for campers entering 1st-3rd grade is packed with STEM activities, behind-the-scenes discoveries, and big "aha!" moments. Campers will explore the fascinating world of recycling, from what can (and can't) go in the recycling cart to what really happens after it leaves the curb. Hosted inside the Education Center at Metro Recycling Facility in Grimes, this camp puts kids right where the action happens.
This camp takes place Tuesday, June 16 - Friday, June 19 from 9 AM - noon each day in the Education Center at Metro Recycling Facility, a dynamic space overlooking the recycling sorting process. Campers will also learn about Metro Waste Authority's recycling guidelines and get a behind-the-scenes look at recycling processes at Metro Recycling Facility, a world-class, state-of-the-art recycling facility.
Snacks will be provided, and each camper should bring their own water bottle each day.
