About this Event
One-Day Cardboard Makerspace Camp for Campers Entering 4th-5th Grade
This one-day camp for campers entering 4th-5th grade focuses on STEM practices and recycling. Campers will work together and independently to create a zoo! Using cardboard and imagination, campers will design habitats and interactive elements for a variety of animals in this wildly creative session. This camp is ideal for creative tinkerers and animal lovers. Campers will get to take home a stuffed animal and more!
This camp takes place in the Education Center at Metro Recycling Facility, a dynamic space overlooking the recycling sorting process. Campers will also learn about Metro Waste Authority's recycling guidelines and get a behind-the-scenes look at recycling processes at Metro Recycling Facility, a world-class, state-of-the-art recycling facility.
Snacks will be provided, and each camper should bring their own lunch and water bottle.
