About this Event

Reconstructed Stories: An Intentional Jewelry Transformation Workshop

Join the Dear Queenie Collective (Tammy, Kennedy, Jasmine, and Nadia) for an intimate, reflective workshop dedicated to giving new life to old treasures. Together, we will explore the art of breaking something down to build it back up, finding strength in vulnerability and beauty in adaptation.
We invite you to bring a beaded or charmed piece of jewelry from home that you are ready to take apart . Maybe it’s a piece that no longer sparks joy, a broken item that holds complex memories, or jewelry that simply doesn't represent the person you are today. Together, we will take these pieces apart and reimagine them into a bookmark, keychain, or phone charm, extending the life of your materials while giving them a brand-new purpose.
Jewelry is deeply personal; it carries history, represents relationships, and holds memories. In this workshop, the act of creation is an intentional and reflective process. We will look at our reflections in the beads, choosing which stories we want to carry forward into our new creations and which pieces of ourselves we are ready to leave behind. It is a space to celebrate growth, embrace change, and turn stories of hope into a tangible new form.
No prior crafting or jewelry-making experience is needed. Whether your piece was gifted, bought, or shared, we are here to guide and support you through every step of the physical and creative process. Come adapt, create, and honor the present version of yourself with us.
❤️If you don't have a beaded or charmed piece of your own, we will have a few thrifted pieces you can choose from.
❤️We will have tools for you to use if you don't have your own.
✨Light refreshments will be available. Please claim your ticket as spots are limited!

About Dear Queenie Collective
What started as a group of childhood friends crafting around a dining room table to navigate life’s challenges has grown into Dear Queenie Collective.

As a maker venture, we believe in finding magic in the broken. We’ve turned our favorite creative outlet into a healing venture focused on connection, play, and transformation. To keep our inner child alive, we love incorporating unwanted toys and quirky vintage elements into playful, wearable accessories.

Most of our materials are lovingly sourced from local thrift stores, ensuring that every piece we create is entirely unique. While each of us brings our own distinct artistic style to the table, we share a singular heart for giving forgotten items a new life and a new purpose.

It’s our way of proving that through connection and creativity, we can find purpose in the pieces left behind.
