Joy can be fostered through simple mindfulness practices and methods designed to reshape neural patterns in the brain. These approaches help release current fear, as well as old habits, beliefs, and behaviors that prevent us from fully experiencing joy. By incorporating these techniques, we can move closer to a life that truly embraces joy.
Join Shannon Jacobs for an in-depth exploration of how to transform from living in a near-constant state of “fight, flight, or freeze.” In this workshop, participants will learn actionable steps to shift back into a state of peace and calm. The session will cover practices such as intentional breathing, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) tapping, visualization, journaling, present moment awareness, and cultivating gratitude. Additionally, the workshop will discuss ways to embody the rhythms and cycles of nature and rediscover the magic of the mundane.
Shannon’s passion is to support those seeking to regulate their nervous systems and function from a place of grounded authenticity. She believes each person has the capacity to reclaim joy and return to wholeness.
Items to Bring:
~journal and favorite writing implement
~an item that represents joy for the communal altar (it will be returned to you at the end of the workshop)
~a willingness to explore new ideas and practices
